Jupiter May 14, 2020

2020-05-14 (UT) Jupiter image Jupiter will be visible sooner, and it will be observable at 2 am. However, seeing is still bad and I am in a bad mood. The cove on the NEBn’s white spot is approaching NEB and has been largely hollowed out. The resolution is so bad that I can’t see the details. UV EB is a belt connected horizontally.

Mizuki beach

2020-05-14 Mizuki beach, Ibaraki prefecture. I went out to watch C / 2020 F8 Swan, but I could not check the comet! The sight of the horizon of the sunrise and the moonlight reflected by the waves is beautiful!

Pluto May 8, 2020

2020-05-08 I woke up early this morning and saw Jupiter, but the terrible seeing! Resigned. I took a image of M75 and Pluto, which were in bad condition, but nearby.M75 is a small globular cluster such as 8.6. The periphery is decomposed into stars, but theseeing is poor, so the central part cannot be separated into stars. This is the first M object I took. Pluto (dwarf planet) was a 14.3 mag star, moonlit and visually impossible.

Moonlit milky way

2020-05-07 When I woke up after 2:00 am, it went out fine. The moon was in the west, but the transparency was so good that I could watch Milky Way thinly. I checked Jupiter, but gave up with a terrible seeing condition. I adjusted the 45cm Newton’s squaring, so I took a picture of the M22. With the telescope, the stars dance and I can watch the terribleseeing condition. 45cm F4 newtonian, ISO6400, exposure time 2 seconds is the brightness of moonlight. 50 consecutive shots with a 2 second exposure is really easy. It’s a progress in photography equipment! Scaring was OK. The big thing about the stars is poor seeing condition.

Jupiter May 1, 2020

20020-05-01 (UT) Jupiter image It was covered by a mobile high pressure, and seeing condition improved slightly. This will still be 5/10. I want this kind of seeing condition stability . GRS (far right) trying to hide.

First Quarter Moon May 1, 2020

First quarter moon 2020-5-1 The first quarter of spring is often high in altitude and looks good. It is a wonderful view with long shadows cast on many craters and mountains at the edges. Used by squeezing 45 cm to 17 cm.

Cleaning the telescope

I cleaned and adjusted my own 45cm Newton reflector telescope. It can be done by one person, but it was finished smoothly with the support of my friend, Mr. Ishii. The drawback is that the optical axis tends to go wrong, but it is unavoidable that adjustments at each meeting are made by myself!

Jupiter April 30, 2020

20020-04-30 (UT) Jupiter image The seeing condition was good at the beginning of the imaging, but gradually deteriorated, but an image was obtained. In UV and CH4 images, the black and white of the feature is reversed, which indicates the height of the feature. In the CH4 image, the white pattern is higher than the surroundings and the black feature is lower. On the contrary, in the UV image, black may be absorbed.

Jupiter April 28, 2020

20020-04-28(UT) Jupiter image It  was a little haze, but seeing condition was a little better. Visually check the GRS, the color is orange, crisp shape. Since J20200428-2 is an image in the blue sky before sunrise, it has no contrast and is rough.
