Jupiter, Mars July 19, 2020

Jupiter, Mars 2020-07-19(UT) Jupiter is an opposition, bright and large. There is no major change in the Jupiter plane. There is an astigmatism on the 45 cm mirror, and the star image is not sharp. Mars imaged at C14. The visual diameter is on the order of 13 seconds, and the surface pattern can be seen visually.

Old Jupiter image 1979

From old Jupiter images (found in the album organizer) I tried to make a color image from RGB image by RGB composition Since 1979-02-20, it’s Jupiter 41 years ago! It’s probably when I started to take full-scale planetary images. At that time, I did all the filming, developing and printing. The world is unimaginable with digital imaging, but at that time there was only this. It was a self-made 15cm Newtonian reflector, F/9 (made by Mikio Kawamura), and its a good telescope. The basics of RGB filter photography are the same, but the exposure time is as long as 1 to 2 seconds, and it is blurred due to seeing condition. In the final darkroom work, I improved the image by printing it on photographic paper with composite. Those who were shooting planets in this way are more than 60th birthday! Now, the SEB is dark and the EZ is […]

Jupiter, Mars June 28, 2020

Jupiter, Mars 2020-06-28 (UT) The planet after 10 days. Unusually clear and sunny, Planets are low south and middle altitude, so turbulence on the ground is terrible. A dust storm occurred on Mars, I don’t want to be a big dust storm!

Jupiter 2020

Jupiter 2020 I captured the differences in the Jupiter feature for each wavelength and arranged them side by side. Color from left, UV.CH4 IR.IR(1μ). The feature around the center is completely different, but the IR.IR(1μ) is small and the polar regions in the north and south are different.

Two planets, Jupiter and Saturn

Two planets, Jupiter and Saturn, will shine side by side on the eastern side of the Milky Way in the south, and the observing season is about to begin. Both are bright and visible, but the beauty is surprising when viewed with a telescope. Saturn with a ring in particular. There is a mysterious beauty.

Sagittarius Milky Way

Sagittarius Milky Way At midnight in the middle of June, at around 12:00 pm, you can see the Milky Way in summer, and We can see it with your naked eye, binoculars, and telescope. When you look at something that looks white with a telescope, it looks like a star and you will never get tired of watching it.

Jupiter June 16, 2020

Jupiter 2020-06-16 (UT) During the rainy season, thunderstorms disappear and the weather is clear and transparent. The airflow was the worst and I could not see the image of Jupiter’s GRS at all.
