The October issue of Hoshi Navi (issued on September 3)

The October issue of Hoshi Navi (issued on September 3) has a special article on Saturn Ring. The observation history of the ring and the latest achievements by the research vessel are introduced. This time, I wrote an article about the observation points of my Saturn and Jupiter observations with images. Some of the observation images deviate from the original purpose, but I would be happy if the fun of planetary observation was conveyed. Shintaro Ishii, who became a star in July without permission, asked me to post the appearance of the day when he looked into the 45 cm telescope. Thank you.

Jupiter August 27, 2021

Jupiter 2021-08-27 (UT) There are clouds, and the imaging is uncomfortable. Use C14. The dark spot (II = 21.6 °) inside the SEB behind the GRS was conspicuous. The color is bluish black. Convection turbulence!

Jupiter 2021-08-20 (UT) The feature behind the Great Red Spot. Immediately before oval “BA”, there is a white spot without border (right). There is a vertical mottled feature at high latitudes in the Arctic, which is clearly visible in the IR.

Milky Way August 10, 2021

Milky Way 2021-08-10 The typhoon has passed and it is fine from the evening. I watched the transparent summer Milky Way from the field I watched in the past. It’s half the Milky Way compared to 40 years ago, but I feel better.

Jupiter August 5, 2021

Jupiter 2021-08-05 (UT) 45 cm newtonian, the optical axis is not aligned properly. I can observe Jupiter on a sunny day every night, but there are many clouds coming in and I can’t take an image. The phase behind the GRS. Five consecutive white spots south of STB are spectacular.

Jupiter August 4, 2021

Jupiter 2021-08-04 (UT) The optical axis of the 45cm newtonian is out of order, and it is an image taken with C14 in the hitting role. SEB is a dark belt in the south, but other than that, it is light and complicated.
