Jupiter July 11, 2021

Jupiter 2021-07-11 (UT) Jupiter for the first time in about two weeks. The weather is finally near the end of the rainy season. The humidity was high and the reflector became cloudy. The size of Jupiter is 46 ″ and it feels big. It is possible to take a long image from midnight. You can see the GRS of Jupiter.

The image of Jupiter from 1999

The image of Jupiter from 1999 The basic imaging method is the same as it is now, but the imaging device is 1-2 generations ago. The cooled CCD camera (Teleris2, KAF-400e), which was expensive at that time, and the custom-made methane band filter (Nippon Vacuum Optics, half-value width 6.5 nm) 32 cm newtonian (F / 32 3×3 binning imaging in 20 seconds, which is now 100 times more exposed. It was quite difficult. It was a poor image, but I was happy that the CH4 image was possible even for amateurs. On the Jupiter feature, the clearly large GRS and permanent white spot BE (front) and FA (rear) were captured by CH4, and then In the latter half of March 2000, two permanent white spots merged to form the current Oval BA.

Jupiter 2021-06-27 (UT) It started to clear up in the middle of the night. I saw Jupiter during the rainy season I could see Jupiter’s GRS away from the front to the extent . Seeing was little better

Jupiter June 24, 2021

Jupiter 2021-06-24 (UT) The conditions were bad due to poor seeing and clouds, but I got the image. The SEBs in front of the GRS are dark. The StrZ belt to the south extends from the GRS. SEBn is bumpy. Seeing is bad, so it looks like this, UV.CH4 is an image that was forcibly exposed due to underexposure. It was a little transparency, but the color was close to the visual

Jupiter June 21, 2021

Jupiter 2021-06-21 (UT) The weather forecast was cloudy, but We don’t know the rainy season, but it was finer than expected. Jupiter had no contrast, but seeing was good and I could see quite a few details. On Jupiter’s feature there is a chain of small vortices of SEBs. In the CH4 image, the white spots visible in the Arctic region are NN-LRS-1 (methane bright). Compared to the Antarctic region, the Arctic region has more mottled patterns, but it is not visible because there is no visual contrast.

Jupiter 2021-06-20 (UT) Jupiter during the rainy season. It was frustrating because the image was taken while waiting for the clouds to pass, but I was lucky because it was clear. The GRS is on the far right, and the SEBs behind it have a chain feature. IR-1000 is black feature. NEB is light on the north side, and you can clearly see bulges (bar-shaped dark spots) like stains. Seeing is bad and its no details!

Jupiter June 17, 2021

Jupiter 2021-06-17 (UT) The sunny season of the rainy season. I could see the Milky Way on a clear night, but it was a terrible seeing. It was the longitude where I could see GRS, so I took a image with patience. The 45cm telescope cannot be used when seeing is bad!
