First altazimuth mount mode

(C14 + Lx-200) For the first time, I took an image of M42 in altazimuth mount mode. There is no de-rotater device to correct the rotation of the image, but it seems that I can take image for 2 minutes. Tracking the altazimuth mount moves as if the direction and altitude were blurred, so it may not be possible for a planet with resolution. It is not a smooth tracking like an equatorial mount, but I think it has little effect on visual inspection. There is no balanced waist, and the stable balance is truly good. Considering the image, the fork-type equatorial mount is probably good. I can understand the feelings of the former owner!

C/2021 A1 Leonard Comet First half

C / 2021 A1 Leonard Comet 2121-11-26-12-05 45 cm / 20 cm Newtonian ASI071MC Pro The progress of the comet approach (first half) is summarized. There was moonlight in November, and the image of the tail was faint, but after December 3, there was no moonlight, and yellow dust can be clearly seen. The approach to the globular cluster M3 became a beautiful image. I am looking forward to future changes.

C/2021 A1 Leonard Comet December 3, 2021

C / 2021 A1 Leonard 2121-12-03 (JST) 45cm F / 4 Newtonian 2×2 Binning ASI071MA Pro There was a cloud coming, but the moonlight disappeared and the comet became easier to watch. Today we can see the fine structure of the tail. A total of 60 frames( 30-second exposures )the stellar lines are unsightly because of the time lag.

C/2021 A1 Leonard Comet December 2, 2021

C / 2021 A1 Leonard 2121-12-02 (JST) 45cm F / 4 Newtonian 2×2 Binning ASI071MC Pro The influence of the moonlight has almost disappeared, and I could see the comet’s tail with 5 cm 7x binoculars, but it was faint!
