(C14 + Lx-200) For the first time, I took an image of M42 in altazimuth mount mode.
There is no de-rotater device to correct the rotation of the image, but it seems that I can take image for 2 minutes.
Tracking the altazimuth mount moves as if the direction and altitude were blurred, so it may not be possible for a planet with resolution.
It is not a smooth tracking like an equatorial mount, but I think it has little effect on visual inspection.
There is no balanced waist, and the stable balance is truly good. Considering the image, the fork-type equatorial mount is probably good. I can understand the feelings of the former owner!
