Mars 2020-08-13 (UT) At night, I returned home from Nasu and watched Mars, but seeing was bad. The southern polar cap on Mars is getting smaller and smaller day by day. Dark areas are visible inside the Hellas Basin.

Mars 2020-08-06(UT) RGB colors of Mars, UV.IR, with a visual diameter in the 15″ range. This IR image is aimed at a high resolution of the Martian surface. You can see the scattered pattern of the southern polar cap’s edge and Mount Mitchell!

Mars 2020-08-04(UT) Seeing condition is very good, and it is the best in the year. Even at S=7-8/10, 39cm (45cm was used after squeezing), the dark color feature on Mars surface was barely visible at 700 powers. In the latter half of the image, a double ridge ghost appears on the surface of Mars. Is the optical axis defective?

Jupiter, Mars　 2020-07-31 The planet after a long time before the rainy season. Jupiter has good transparency and airflow, and UV and CH4 are good. Mars grows in size in the 14s range, its altitude also rises, and patterns can be seen. The problem of astigmatism in the 45 cm mirror has been improved and it has become practical.

Mars imaged at C14. The visual diameter is on the order of 13 seconds, and the surface pattern can be seen visually.
